California Family Beer Distributors Inaugural 2022 Conference in Palm Desert

In November 2022, CFBD hosted its inaugural Conference in Palm Desert. Bringing together CFBD members, California legislators, media, and leaders from across the beer industry, the Conference showcased our association's strength and provided the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss opportunities and challenges in person. Members came from across the state from as far north as Willows and as far south as Imperial.
The Conference speaker lineup included NBWA President and CEO Craig Purser, CCBA Executive Director Lori Ajax, Brewbound Managing Editor Jessica Infante, and Firestone Walker Head of Sales Kristen Demergian, among others. Panels touched on topics ranging from Mergers & Acquisitions to growing beverage brands, plus the current trends and California political climate impacting beer distributors and wholesalers.
The Conference was, of course, more than panels – there was time for socializing and sharing a beer or two! The first night of our Conference featured a reception where we were joined by Senate Pro Tem Toni Atkins, who spent time meeting members and learning about their positive impact on the local communities they serve.
Our first conference was a success, and we look forward to planning future events. We plan to host our next conference in 2024 and look forward to seeing CFBD members in Sacramento for lobby days and at their warehouses for tours with our state’s elected officials.
