California’s Family-Owned Beer Distributors Announces Executive Director and Board of Directors

March 23, 2021 – Sacramento, Calif. – California Family Beer Distributors (CFBD) is proud to announce Kevin Luckey as its executive director. Luckey is responsible for heading the member-led organization to protect the longevity of their companies, product choice for consumers and retailers, and supporting the communities where they live and operate.

His commitment to Markstein Beverage Company of Sacramento amplifies his belief in family-owned, local businesses and he understands how we need to communicate our perspective to California legislators,” said Ryan Donaghy, President of Donaghy Sales and CFBD board chair.

A leader and veteran in the industry, Luckey is positioned well in this leadership role. Prior to joining CFBD, he was the director of government affairs for Markstein Beverage Company of Sacramento. Before joining Markstein Beverage Co. of Sacramento, he was Vice President of Markstein Beverage Co. in San Marcos, CA. Luckey has also has served for a variety of local and national organizations including the National Beer Wholesalers Association and the California Beer and Beverage Distributors.

CFBD is the first association to advocate specifically for California family-owned businesses in the beer distributor industry. Hitting the ground running, Luckey has assembled a board of powerhouses in the family-owned beer distribution business to provide governance and strategic vision.
